Corvette-Inspired Hybrid Hits the Road
Four months ago, the LH4 from Lightning Hybrids was nothing but a mound of clay, but now the Colorado company has a running prototype and some video of it on the road. It’s brief, but you can tell from the video the Corvette-inspired, hydraulic hybrid is not your typical hybrid. It sounds like a British sports car with a bad muffler, but it doesn’t look too shabby.

Check out what others are saying about this post...[...] Corvette-inspired hybrid hits the road Lightning Motors has just released a video of their LH4 hybrid’s maiden voyage, and while they claim it’s inspired by the corvette, I say this THING is about as Corvette-inspired as the new Charger is a faithful recreation of the original. It looks sort of like someone kicked an EV-1 in the butt. It also, just like the post on Autoambush says, sounds a little like a TR7 with a rusted-out silencer. The technology sounds cool though, a TDI motor paired to a hydraulic hybrid system, and the ugly carbon fiber body does look slippery.
